I currently research issues in AI, especially in relation to scientific evidence, and in the social structure of science, especially regarding peer review. For example, what do advances in AI methods imply for the philosophy of evidence? To what extent does peer review still have a role in the internet age, when anonymity is often impractical and post-publication peer review is much easier than in the past?

In previous research, I have worked on statistical methodology, the philosophy of economics, inductive reasoning, and helped develop Bayesian evidence amalgamation techniques in medicine.
